Teachers,
Welcome to The Library Commons collaboration wiki. Your life is about to get easier. As the media specialist/ library teacher, I am here to help you and your students make the most of resources and information as they relate to classroom learning. Collaboration is the key. According to Information Power, " The library media program provides a central resource for successful and imaginative teaching. Its collection includes current, authoritative materials on learning and instructional theories, and its activities promote collaborative and innovative approaches to developing the concepts and skills needed in the information age." (64) If you are interested in receiving help implementing an innovative idea or using library resources for student learning, view the 2nd grade collaborative project "Technology in the Wild" by clicking on the tab on the right. If you have any questions concerning the success of a project such as this, please don't hesitate to ask me, the 2nd grade team or the students involved. The media center truly is the place to learn in this information age.
